Short Training Course on TiberCAD

This two-day course (Rome, 25-26 February 2009) is open to anyone interested in using TiberCAD multiphysics tool for the modeling of physics phenomena of a wide variety of electronic devices and nanostructures.

Attendees will get an hands-on experience of TiberCAD capabilities by creating and solving step-by-step physical models of semiconductor devices.

Contents:

  • The TiberCAD graphical user interface -- all the steps from creating a geometry to postprocessing
  • Modeling of heat transfer, transport, strain and piezoelectric phenomena in semiconductor devices
  • Modeling electronic and optoelectronic properties of nanostructures based on quantum wells and dots, in an envelope function approximation (EFA) multi-band framework
  • Multiphysics/multiscale modeling - the mutual coupling of multiple physics equations
  • Introduction to atomistic methods and their multiscale coupling with continuous media approaches

Here you can find further informations and register yourself for the course.
